In 2 sentences, tell us who you are, where you are from, and what you do for GenFeeds:

Jon was born at a very young age in Dublin, Ireland. Tired of all the rain, he grew up in the deserts of Sedona, Arizona. Now he travels the country for Generosity Feeds as the Lead Facilitator for most of their events.

The best piece of advice I’ve ever been given is:

The best piece of advice I ever received was from my father, who told me, “Do everything you can to get really good at your passion. There are people in the world who won’t be able to do what you do, and they will pay you to do it for them. If you get paid to do what you love, you’ll never “work” a day in your life.”

What advice would you give a candidate who wants to join our team of superstars?

My favorite word in the English language is:

My favorite word in the english language “facetiously” which has all the vowels in order. Or maybe “bookkeeper” which is the only word that has three sets of double letters consecutively. Or maybe “orange” because nothing rhymes with “orange.”

What’s the most inspiring part of your job?

I am inspired at every event by the hundreds of volunteers who show up, all with the same heart and mission, to feed hungry kids in their community. Seeing them make the effort (year after year) to change a child’s outlook on life is very inspiring.

The most important thing I learned before high school was:

The most important thing I learned before high school was all in Kindergarten. Play well with others, be kind, share and color inside the lines. And if mean Timmy takes your crayon again, hit him with the wiffle-ball bat.

If I were a superhero, my superpower would be:

If I were a superhero, my superpower would be to fly like superman. That way I could get to more events faster and help feed more kids. And so I can get to Domino’s before they close.

When I was 5, I was pretty sure I’d be a ___ when I grew up:

When I was 5, I was pretty sure I’d be Indiana Jones when I grew up. Or a photographer. Or a dinosaur.
